My sister turned 16 last week and for her birthday I made a beach-glass inspired necklace. First I strung all the beads, and then crocheted a chain with each bead in its own stitch. This results in a stronger necklace, and the beads are spread apart slightly to create a nice “vine” effect.
That’s really cute! I love the color scheme, and what a creative way to combine beading and crochet.
It is so beautiful! Can you teach me how to do that next time when we meet? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, KT!
That necklace is darling on your sister. Do I see tiny little beads between each featured bead? — I hope to begin today, with some apprehension, to make birthday necklaces for Camilla and Trudi, whose birthdays are in January and February respectively.
